About
Our Mission

Ear Peace Records is more than just a label. We have developed our Berkeley-based headquarters from the ground up, and are becoming the place to be for urban and fine art shows, live-music of all genres, great parties, spray paint, local hip-hop records and an overall artistic experience worth… well, experiencing! We provide a clean and lively environment for artists of all facets–accomplished and aspiring–to express their creativeness and receive the recognition they deserve for their work. Our idea is simple: Get together with as many artists as possible, and create an abundance of beautiful and fruitful relationships and business opportunities. When murals, music, paint and good people surround you, it’s easy to build a community like ours. #EarPeaceBeWithYou
Our Label

Ear Peace Records was originally founded as a record label. We were a group of artists looking to break into the scene in official fashion, so we started a legitimate business and began by releasing Candlespit Collective’s debut LP Twenty10’s back in—you guessed it—2010. From there we began to work with the large pool of artists locally, and are currently host to a double-digit roster of artists & crews. We have plans to hit hard with releases from these artists in the near future, with countless records from each collective group already underway, and promise for new artists to be signed this year. We stand for good music, made by good musicians who have good strong hearts. There will be no noise in the air on account of us, just peace to your ears and a refreshingly honest message to boot.
Our Store

What started as a full-blown vinyl record and clothing store back in April of 2011 has developed into so much more since then. Our label headquarters, located at 3268 Adeline Street in Berkeley, is now home to every color available in the MTN 94 spray paint line, as well as a large variety of MTN’s newest Hardcore2 line. We boast one of the bay areas largest variety of colors in these lines while charging some of the—if not thee—most competitive prices in town! We also still carry a notoriously well-stocked hip-hop vinyl and CD collection, worthy of any backpacker, hip-hop historian, or general collector of classic and predominantly under-appreciated records. The little upstairs-nook-of-a-shop is well worth the visit. Come see us between 11am and 5pm Tuesdays through Saturdays!
Our Gallery

At the beginning of each new month, a great many of us are thinking about bills, paychecks and more bills. At Ear Peace (though we may be guilty of the same) we are also excitedly gearing up for a new monthly art exhibit. Every month we work with a new artist or group of artists, showcasing the talents of fine artists, graffiti artists, young and old, rookie and veteran. Working quite often with Paul and Mel of Endless Canvas and Alpha Omega Collective, there is no shortage of outstanding pieces of art finding their home at ear peace each month. Not only can you come in and check out the shows in person, you can even visit our web store for the opportunity to buy abroad and have pieces shipped to your front door! EPR stands for ART, and we intend to share it with the world.
Our Events

As you have learned our space is an art gallery by day. What you will come to appreciate is that by night we have become the ultimate party destination in Berkeley. If you’re looking for live music, quality drinks at affordable prices, super artistic atmospheres, and great memories waiting to happen… Then you’ve found your place. Check out our calendar to see what’s going on this month. Also, if you are interested in hosting your own event at Ear Peace, WE RENT OUR SPACE! Email Stu Lucero via our CONTACT page for a rundown on pricing, rules, regulations and requirements. If you’re having trouble believing that a gallery and a record store could be an event space too, check out our facebook for a showing of photos from previous events!
